I love this idea.  It's almost Christmas and have been looking for an ornament or nutcracker or something that I can put in the house representing my son to help feel his presence here while he's in BC.  This blue candle is just what I was looking for...going out to get mine today!

I have had the same blue candle burning since our son left for bootcamp.we only have 11 days to go before we see him and the candle may just make it. Can't wait until graduation.

FeatheredNest, any blue candle will work, just find what makes you happy!  Lighting a blue candle is a show of support for our Sailors and all Service men and women. Walmart or the dollar tree sell a variety,  also, check out "scented with love" on Facebook, they can personalize anything.

And this 2nd link has been mentioned here too-its a warmer I think?  anyway, I use blue candles I find at garage sales, or in my local stores, or I buy blue glass containers and put a votive inside.Whatever works for you.  Some examples of what other navyformoms do with their blue candles at/near page 5 here in these pages....it 'moves around' as we post more and more, but I found some pictures on page 5 today.

I was not aware of the Blue Candle event....AMAZING.  Praying for everyone and their loved ones....  What an incredible way to honor our Sailors....
