His first B'day at sea will be a more memorable one because of his blue candle.
I wish it was on his cake and we were enjoying it with him, but here in Tennessee for at least one day, the color is blue, not orange. Go Titans !

We were blessed to have our sailor home this Christmas, but at all family gatherings, there was a blue candle lit by my son in honor of those who can't be with those they love. Christmas Day, our blue candle stayed lit all day. He was even more touched when I expressed how knowing about the blue candle project was such a comfort to me last year, when he could not be here. He has a deeper understanding of our challenges that relate to this "adventure", than he did before. I've shared with many through the holidays (most of them, are not related to military life at all) about the blue candle project, and they were excited to add this remembrance to their celebration.
