I will proudly burn my blue candle in honor of my son, Nathan. Starting today. He will turn 24 on January 29th. My candle is burning in Austin, Texas and will go with me wherever I go until his PIR Feb. 6th. What honorable young men and women we have. (All of them) God Bless the USA and our young people who are changing their lives by volunteering to serve for our country. Thank you moms, dads, wives, girlfriends and husbands for joining in this honor!!!! It's the least we can do!!! Here's to blue!

My blue candle is start burning tonight. My son will PIR on the 23rd. He is to go to EOD basic after boot, but I know it is real tough on him physically. Keep him in your prayers that he makes it because I know it is what he really wants.

This is a great idea! My son is in boot Camp and is scheduled to graduate on Feb 13th. He sent us letters saying how hard boot camp is but not being around his family is harder than any boot camp. Good bless all they brave sailors.

Fabulous idea to keep the blue candle's burning. My son just had his PIR on 1-2 and will start A-School next week. He will not be home for his birthday on the 16th, this will be the first birthday not with us. I will make sure to keep the blue candle burning. God Bless all our Sailors!

MJones, Ragland, Alabama. son, Jason is part of the Blue Crew on the USS Alabama in Bangor, WA. We are so proud of him and all others who are willing to be the "Middle Man"; standing between us and harms way. Blue is my favorite color and blue candles burn continually at our house. I even have one at the office. God bless you all for your willingness to be so supportive of your loved one's decision to serve others.
