I was able to add a three candle electric candle to my supply t his week thanks to the 70% off sale and am buying chicken wire and have purchased 100's of blue candles to make a large permanent blue candle in my front yard... my hubby drew the line on the roof tops... But I told him again... we are in the flight pattern for all flights from Dallas to Sa and from Houston to Sa and well I thought the outline of a blue candle on the roof top after dark will work....we will see how soon he caves... I bet not before he gets the Chrismtas lights put up . ha ha

We just bought electric candles and will be putting blue bulbs in them so they can "burn" all of the time. This is such a wonderful way to remember all our Sailors and also to remind those around us that our guys and gals are out there for them.
We will also continue to burn our regular blue candles.
Thank you BLUE CANDLE MOMS!!

Mine will burn in Hickory, NC for my son's birthday and my father's (deceased) birthday. Also on the anniversary of my son's enlistment, and any time he is deployed. Everyone is in my prayers. Mighty is the US NAVY!

Yep it is still burning again today and as one other mother mentioned...It makes me feel closer and can't explain it...well that is the way I feel to. One lady has been talking to their recruiting offices the veterans offices and will make a proposal for the govenor.. I am going to contact her and see what their proposal is they are proposing and maybe we can send it also to our govenors... will let you know what information she gets and ask her to come in and present what she has here....on this site. HAPPY NEW YEAR on Jan 2, 2009....
