My son is leaving for BC on March 3, 2009, already burning the blue candle he helped me pick out, I also bought one for his girlfriend. My son bought a small one for his father's desk at work. I am so proud of him, but struggling at his leaving. To all past, present, and in my case future. Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

My son just left on deployment on the USS Eisenhauer. The candle has been lit for him and the others that are home and away. My mother and sister have also lit their candles. From Monona, Wisconsin and Pensacola, Florida the light burns bright to honor our brave men and women!

Since I love candles (part time partylite rep) I love this idea as a wonderful symbol of support. Definitely lighting a blue one right now in support of all Navy personnel and families, especially those just beginning this journey in training right now.

Lighting my blue candle in Hereford, Texas in honor of all the recruits who arrived at GL on 2/11, especially those in Div 150 USS JOHN F. KENNEDY! Hang in there guys! I will also take a blue candle to put on my desk at work. I may not get to light it, but it will still be there!

My son is in BC now and his PIR is 3/13/09, from there he will go to Norfolk, VA. A blue candle is a wonderful reminder to pray for our sailors and familes. I too am very proud to be a part of this.
