I apparently did not do my job very well LOL.
Letter from my son today, in his PS he asks how much does it cost to mail a letter. "I've heard it is just one stamp from state to state, but I've heard different things."
How did I raise a child to age 20 and he doesn't know how much it cost to mail a letter?

I used to tell my kids they were crazy for texting. Why not just use the phone!!! I also said the same thing about My Space! I now use my blackberry and here I am with NFM's!! I think I can now almost beat my kids out with the texting thing! It is fun isn't it!!!!

I used to worry about how many minutes a month my kids were using on their cell plans - forget that! They don't talk on the phone anymore, it is all about texting and geez...do you think they will leave a vm if they cannot reach someone? No - it apparently just isn't cool to talk like they used to, text, text, text.
Our son called this morning and wanted me to look something up on line, I told him I would call him back, he said...it's okay - you can just send me a text!

Don't worry my son was 20 also when he had to figure out the cost of mail. There was also a time when he didn't know that vending machines didn't take penny's! I guess as parents sometimes we just take it for granit that they will figure it out.

I knew I was not the only one!! Everyone always knows more than me!!!! The kids always say...okay Mom. Then they come home with the same information I gave them as if it was newly acquired information!

Oh yes, that was our son as well! Although he seemed to take all my new found knowledge from this site to heart while he was in bootcamp - he was actually quite impressed a few times so maybe there is hope for us afterall!

Bryan was surprised that I knew as much as I did! I told him that he could never go too far that I would not know what was happening!

I got a letter last week with 2 stamps on it?? All the others had one maybe the RDC'S are teasing them ?
