Navy For Moms

Anyone with a child leaving for Great Lakes the week of May 5?

My son is leaving for GL from Atlanta on May 7. I have no idea what time, flight, etc., yet. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there with a child leaving around that same time. They may end up together at GL. I'd love to have a "buddy" to go thru basic training with...lol.

OK, Pam,

I'm getting antsy. It's been 4 minutes since you offered to send me the diagrams and maps. Don't you know that three years in mom time? Get busy...lol.

Hi Tina.......I'm Vickie.....My son left yesterday, May 7 from Knoxville, TN.....I just ordered the book from Buy.com and should have it next week......I've been told it is a lifeline
Hello moms. My son Jason left from Raleigh, NC for GL on May 6 also. This was his first time flying so I had been worried about him being scared. I was glad to get his call when he arrived in GL but sad also that he did not have much time to talk. Be glad when he get more time to talk which he did let me know it would be two weeks so I can hear from him how he's doing. Hoping that we will soon hear something about their division#/ship# so that we can find out whose child is with whose and have an idea about their graduation date.
Vickie & Carlotta welcome to this weeks group of Mom's whose children just left.

Vickie, I ordered the book today too and I am so not patient so I paid just as much for the shipping so it will arrive tomorrow :0) Crazy! My husband would think I have lost my mind.

Carlotta, I am sure that was a little scarry for your Son flying for the first time. Glad he made it safely.
