Nicole you really cant trust any graduation date until you get that letter from your recruit and then you know for sure what the date is...... in the 4 week they will send out graduation packets with parking pass and everything you will need for graduation ...

To all the moms here,

Please start asking your recruit to watch and see who's not getting mail. We need to take care of these kids just like they were our own. If we can get a list, we can start a rotation so maybe everyone will get mail a couple of times a week even if it's not from their own family.

We also need to be on the lookout at graduation for sailors (they won't be RECRUITS anymore) who are alone. We need to make sure that no one has to go back to his/her ship alone while everyone else goes out on liberty. I would be willing to take one or two with me. Feed them a decent meal and let them get a good nap in my hotel room.

Is everyone with me on this?

I am withyou on this too Tina ... I have seen this happen.... My exstep son was in the marines and when we went to his graduation from boot you would really cry when you saw how many didnt have anyone there... and it isnt because the people didnt want to be there but some parents just COULDNT go for whatever reason...... we took this one guy under our wing and he stayed with us the entire weekend ..
