Navy For Moms

I just got a letter from my son today and there is this one line that makes me chuckle over and over again...I thought it might be fun to share these if anyone else has any. I considered putting it in context for ya'll but thought it wouldn't be as funny. So, in David Letterman style, I will start with my so far funniest line home from my son was:

"I guess not everybody appreciates ninjas."

"the food is surprisingly good, but we dont have time to eat it."
i actually thought that was kinda sad haha
To this day, I eat too fast because of the short time we had at chow in bootcamp.
Same here. Only been out of boot camp for lil over a year, but still eat like Sonic the Hedgehog
My Dad was in the Navy and to this day throws his food in his mouth as fast as possible. I really don't think he even chews. He said he learned real quick to eat fast or starve.
How much time do you have to eat.
Actually your time varies by your height oddly enough. Even though they say they start the time when the last person sits down wich is usually the tallest guy but it goes by an odd system but on average you have about 10-15 min to eat
My son is 6'2" and said sometimes they about face which means he is more front.
I always heard the moto for that was "chew now taste later"...LOL
My fiancé is 6'5" and lines up last in his division! But he's always been a fast eater! Good thing lol!
Oh man! My son is 6'2". They are going to penalise him for that?
My son's biggest concern was being able to eat enough. LOL
Ask anyone who was in the Navy, we all learned to eat fast. I've been out for ages and I still gobble my food if I don't concentrate on eating like a normal person.
