I live in Sugar Land which in south of Houston. My son Christopher is a mineman and was shipped out on his first deployment on 1/4/09 to Bahrain.

Hi Eileen! I am from SL too. My Navy son Kaston is in Norfolk, Va. Keep your chin up girl! My heart and prayers are with you and Christopher. How long is this deployment from him...and you!?

He was stationed in Ingleside, Texas before he got deployed. They are closing down that base so when his deployment ends, he will be stationed in San Diego. He will be gone for about 7 months. He just got married on 12/20/08, so his wife will go down to San Diego some time in May to look for a place for them to live.
How long has Kaston been in?

He has been in 16 months...it has really gone by kinda fast...I do worry about him....as I'm sure you do about Christopher. Married! Wow, congrats to him! I am so glad Kaston has not done the married thing...he just turned 20 in October. I have 2 other boys...my oldest just moved to the island of Grenada with his g/f....she is going to Vet school down there and he followed her....for now anyway...my other son is in south texas going to school and in the LONG process of trying to get in the Border Patrol. How about you, any other children?

I have a 28 year old daughter that is married and had my 1st grand child on 11/1/08. She lives in Rosenberg so I see them all the time. Kaston & Chris have been in the navy for almost the same amount of time. Chris went to bootcamp on 10/1/07. He will be 25 in July. What highschool did Kaston go to?

My daughter is in Norfolk as well, she has been in since aug. 07 and is on deployment now until April.
I live in houston, where are you? i am looking for some navy moms in the houston area. i am new to this site and think it is fabulous.

I live in copperfield and am new to this site. I am looking for some navy moms to get together with. I have 2 daughters in. One has been in since aug. 07 and is stationed in Norfolk VA and is on deployment til April. the other one is in boot camp and graduates feb 13. where is your son?

Momma G,
that is funny you are called that, my girls call me MAMA G...I live in n.w. houston and am looking for a group to join. i have 2 daughters in the Navy, one in boot camp that graduates feb 13, and one that has been in since aug. 07. she is stationed in Norfolk VA. I would like to meet some other moms. I added a few pix of my girls. Thanks for any information you can give me.
