I live in northeast SA, near the forum and rolling oaks mall. My son was in boot camp PIR 3/20. He is in San Diego waiting for his class to start.

Did you join the boot camp mom's group? It was very helpful to me. Our son PIR'd ( grad from BC) in March. IT is still new, we are still learning and figuring out new things. SO is he.

i live on the west side of San Antonio. I to am very proud of my son. Waiting to leav for bc.
I miss him so and he has not even gone yet. Will know by the end of the week when he is leaving

I've been on facebook and found a Navy Moms Club (I think that's what they're called). They told me we could start a club in SA if we have at least seven people who want to join. Is anyone interested?

I joined the Navy Moms Club on facebook, but they have local meetings. They told me there isn't a local club in San Antonio, but we could start one with a minimum of seven Moms. I thought we could meet in local restaurants once a month for our meetings. This is probably the way Navy Moms used to get together before the Internet.

I guess the next step would be to get a head count and plan a meeting, possibly at a centrally located restaurant. They told me we needed seven members to get a charter.
We have, so far: Donna, Trent's mom, and me. Anyone else?
