okay that sound great, hope we get more moms, my daughter is a reservist and does her training in Amarillo and they are having family day in March and we have to do a Power of Attorney for when they deploy and it is kind of hard on me right now, so pls pray for my daugther and myself...

Maria,

I will definately add your daughter to my prayer list. So she deploys in March? Is she home right now? I can't imagine how hard that must be. Will you get to keep in contact with her during her deployment?
I did find a local group called Lubbock Marine Parents. They said they take other branches too. I think they meet every 2nd Monday at Home Plate Diner on 82nd. Looks like we missed the Jan. Meeting--would you like to shoot for the Feb. meeting and go with me? What would the Marines be without the Navy anyways!!

Dear West Texas Moms,
I now live in Colorado, but my 2 Sailors and 1 Soldier were born & raised in Midland. Clay, YN2, was stationed at Ingleside, TX, Port Huemene, CA, and is now at Key West, FL. James, Sgt, was stationed at Fort Hood, TX and is now at Fort Riley, KS. Dave, GM2, is stationed at San Diego, CA.

Was wondering if any of their classmates Moms were in this group.

Hello Maria: I have a niece that's an Army reservist that's at school right now in SC and getting ready to deploy later this year to Afghanistan. I also have a nephew that will start school in GA, then go to CA and then on to Iraq later this year as well -- both are in Army reserves, and both just graduated from high school the past May. My son is Navy and somewhere out in the middle of "the big blue wet thing". I'm from the East Bernard/Wharton/Houston area.

Hey Maria,

I consider myself from West Texas, San Angelo, Texas. Where in West Texas are you from? My son is stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI and has just re-enlisted for another four years. Would love to chat.

Hi ~
I moved from Odessa and that is my son's hometown. He is a seabee and is stationed in Port Hueneme, California.
He deploys this weekend for Japan. What does daughter do? He really likes it and is looking forward to his first deployment. Good luck
Margaret
