My son Justin left on Feb. 26th I have received a form letter with a note at the bottom. I miss him so much that it hurts to breath when I think about him. He called me on the 27th to tell me that he got there ok and I received the form letter. He has gotten to use the phone twice so far and both times called his girl friend. I haven't received any letters yet I have written and mailed them when I got the address. I just want to hear his voice or see his handwriting on an envelope. I guess it will get easier (i hope anyway). Reading what other mothers have to say helps. He is at Great Lakes Division 69. Is any ones child in division 69?

Hey Vicki, Sue, and all my new friends......

YEAAAAA I got an address from the recruiter. It appears that Ty is Ship 04, Div 823. Vicki, isn't that the same as your sons.... And if that is correct, graduation is 4/24??? Well this is a short one because I have to go address some letters to make sure they get in the mail tomorrow! Talk to you all soon!!!

YEAAAA!!!! I have been thinking about you and praying that you would get word! Send out those letters and start the count down!! According to my recruiter Matt is scheduled to graduate on the 17th. But I guess we can't count on that 100% until the end. I'm just waiting for a letter. I also go everywhere with my phone.

Yea, yes that is the same DIV as my son. That is great I guess we will be on the adventure together.

wonderful news! yes my son is 823 too. graduation is 4/24 but i only know that cuz of the website! i havent heard from my Anthony or even recieved a letter. does anyone know if they call collect or just direct-im never home but i live with my cell phone .

Definitely live with your cell phone permanently in reach! I just got a call from mine because they earned phone time due to doing very well on their first classroom test. They buy phone cards there on the base (he should know where to get it) and call from a payphone (it was an 847-689-XXXX number when I answered it). Hope you hear from him soon!!!

yup i got a letter today and he said he bought a calling card. he is gonna try to call but so far he hasn't. he seemed good -says he misses steaks and his ipod!

There is also a group for those with recruits graduating April 24th... just go up to Groups at the top of this page and look for "Divisions (166-173 & 823 & 923) - PIR 24 Apr 09". It's nice to all stick together :)
