Enless wait the SAGA continues

Talk about frustrating and frankly disorganized. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the Navy in general or the recruiter , have no idea what the plan is. We received a call from my Son's recruiter this morning telling him there were jobs open and he's likely go into basic training three weeks from now. He was coming to pick him up tomorrow morning and take him back to MEPS to sign hte paperwork. Needless to say we were all very excited and my Son was relieved as he is sitting waiting QNJ.
This evening we got a call from his recruiter to say that the people at MEPS had messed up and there may not be a job after all. My Son is totally disheartened and fed up as he can't see an end to this, I am too. One minute we're up, the next back down. It's been like this for a couple of months. I'm wondering if he should go tallk to another recruiter

It took my son a couple of months until he got a job-that was in May '09, he does not leave for bc until March 2nd. It is a waiting game so hang in there-we were frustrated too but it will all work out.

Make sure he can get to MEPS on the first processing day of the month, or atleast that first week. We are starting to filter in our QNJ's.

Thanks he passed the depth pereption the 2nd day but still no job, he said they all know him at MEPS, he's on the top of the list for the electonics careers that he'd prefer. All we can do now is wait, he'll go back into college January if there's still nothing.
