Navy For Moms

Everyone really needs to go re-read the Guidelines.

Have seen last names, pictures of recruits who are trying to be int he BUD's program, posts againts OPSEC.

People are putting the safety of their SAILORS at risk! Even if they are just in bootcamp you need to get in the habit NOW of what you can and can't post!

Just to clarify one item...

Yes, you can post picture, list names, and other items if the Navy has offically released the info.  Example:  The honor recruits at bootcamp list last names, including people BUD's.  That fine.  The Navy offically released that infomation.  Same as pictures.  If the Navy released it, then it's ok....

btw: There was once a fear of posting the honor recruits names in the PIR section.  Please continue to honor these outstanding men and women by posting their accomplishment of being named "an honor recruit".

It may officially be "fine", but we don't allow it on our SEAL Moms group.  Names and pictures are not allowed. I am a big meanie and I would delete them quickly.  Actually I am not mean, I am following instructions from SEALwife.  I don't keep up too much with the PreBUD/S Moms group, but if I saw a picture or name there I would delete it also.  :(

This is my first time on this site after being approved.  I would like to say that for the safety of my grandchild I will try real hard not to post name, age or sex of them.  I would love to boast of their accomplishments, but not at the risk of their safety.

i won't put my kids in any harm, their in enough now. i'm  terrified  because of where there stationed. i won't say, i know better. they know how to do their job, their  good at it, so ain't mother nature. all over she's putting  people in harms way, and the us goes to the rescue along with the rest of the world, how do you not worry, and let them do their  job, i can't reach them, by emails, phones, i don't  know whats going on, i don't want them to know i'm worrying, i  don't want them worring, they have enough on them minds. god bless all who are in harms way, please protect them till they go home.
My daughter is in the Navy. I have known since she was very young that she was destined for greatness.  So if the worst happens, I will at least know that she was making a difference.  But I don't know what it's like to have your baby in the midst of the fighting.

Just be mindful everyone is learning. So the all CAPS isn't the best nor the politest way to educate. Some may think this is a more secure site and that is why they are posting. I've seen you all over this site. Are you an official representative for the navy moms site?

Not trying to be combative but your note did.

Blessings.
