MYSON... MYHERO

My HERO left for Boot Camp May 26th DIV 835..anyone else have a HERO Great Lks?

My HERO left Washington state on the 26th of May and arrived in Chicago May 27th 1:30am ish...got the short script call. 3 days later his box arrived which started the tears flowing again:-( June 4th finally received the form letter with his address. We had been writing letters everyday so we have some banked up and have sent 2 per mom and dad each day(Thanks to the advice from this web site!). MY HERO is in the Seals Challenge program..wondering if their are any others in this Division 835??

Thanks, MY HERO'S Mom(who is struggling)

Karen....I am so sorry your husband is having heart problems. Yes, I know all about Ft. Lewis because I am an Army brat and my dad was stationed there twice and I actually lived in Tacoma for about 12 years before we moved to Wenatchee. My mom is in Puyallup so I am over there quit often. We raised our kids in this beautiful valley...as a child I was always moving and having to make new friends with the military life style that you know all about. I thought when I was younger...when I have a family I want to live in a small town and my kids will know friends their whole lives and life will be grand. Well it has been however, my kids have had enough of small town USA and they are off looking for adventure evidently, because my daughter is a smoke jumper(jumps out of planes on to mountain sides on fire!) out of Winthrop, WA and now my baby takes off for a Seal adventure. It is very hard on this ole mom letting go and letting them follow their dreams...I know this is the way it has to be...but it is sooooooo HARD!!! I will survive as time marches on and I am sooooo very proud of both of them...I know God has great things in store for them and as hard as it is it is also very exciting to watch them grow as young adults. And the fact that they want to serve their country gives me great JOY!!

Hopefully MY HERO's graduation is July 17th if nothing bizarre happens...my fingers are crossed!! Thanks for your words of encouragement...I am glad your daughter is thriving and doing well!! Blessings, Patsy

My son left for his on April 19th, I think his graduation was supposed to be June 19th don't know for sure but will be finding out and his next graduation is in Sept. do anyone else have a child leave for that date let me know. MySon I know how you felt my son didn't tell me he knew I had major surgery on my neck c-1 repair. but I do sympathize with you I cried my heart out when my son left me for a day and looking at his pciture everyday only brings on more tears I never thought he would have the discipline to let anyone tell him what to do, but I see he does.
