Navy For Moms

Just wondering if other people have difficulty locating groups they might be interested in. It also seems there are a lot of groups with a similar premise, but no one knows, so they just start another group, not knowing there might already be one that is representing the same thing. There is no alphabetical listing, which would be helpful and it seems the groups should also be listed in groupings of similar interests. Are you listening N4M?

This is something we can look at. I know that deleting things off the site isn't our preferred way of doing things, but setting up tools and instructions to help people find what they are looking for is definitely something I'm working on!

Deleting groups would be a temporary fix until Ning offers the ability to tag or catergorize.

I am a member of a group (273) which is inactive, but I would hate for it to be deleted because perhaps down the road another BUD/S Class 273 mom might try to connect with some other moms. We email off site, which is why it would appear inactive.

I would love to have all of the Boot Camp related groups segragated and placed at the end of the groups listings. All those PIR groups clog the list. Let's face it, they will look all the way to the end! As well as the Navy girlfriends and Navy wives. Those can go to the end too. I am all onboard for supporting them to a point, but don't they have their own mothers and multiple other websites? I say this because of annoying, whining experiences I have been a witness to. I really want to talk to and connect with MOMS! That just seems to sum up what I am not interested in! How perfect life would be if that were to occur. I think I may just have to start about now, to get over myself! Well, I am just hoping there are others that feel the same way and are just too nice to say so. I am not feeling that nice lately. You may have noticed, but please do not think ill of me. Thanks for listening!

I'm excited My discussion generated so many comments already! Other groups that could be deleted are groups with one or two people, that really seems silly. When I was scrolling through, there were several pages of groups like this.
I would also agree, if there has been no activity for 6 months, it's time for that group to go away.
