Linda, just had to tell you...I gave a cookbook to my Sailor. At first there was a quizzical look on his face, then as we explained just what it was and how special, a big smile of appreciation spread across his face. He doesn't cook much, (believe me, I've tried!!) but commented that it's so well laid out and most of the recipes seem straight forward, well explained and uncomplicated, so he thought he'd have no problem trying some of them. (Told him to take good care of it for his future wife too. She's not on the horizon yet.) He also commented that as someone training for Spec Opps, every hint listed for how to trim the fat from your diet and lose weight/be healthy (Basic tips in the very back) was one he was already following. He was impressed with the Dedication and NM Creed, useful information and classy, professional look of it. I gave him a Navy Camosock stocking too (among other things); he treasures his cookbook and that the most. :-)

Oh, one more thing. He also commented that if we do another one, he'd like to see more Moms list their Sailors ratings and/or where they are serving, next to their recipe instead of just "Mom of John" or "PNM of Lisa". Just thought I'd pass that on. I look forward to contributing to Volume 2! =)

Tell your son thanks for the input and we will make sure we do that next time. Glad that he liked the cookbook.

I rec'd cookbooks today. Great Job! There are so many great sounding recipes, Its hard to decide what to make first.
Be sure to let me know when you start Vol. 2.
