Did he leave 7/1/09? Where is he from and what is he going to be doing?

Yes, he did indeed leave 07/01/09, from California. He's going in to be an Aviation Machinist. What about you?

Julie will be going to Nuke school in Charleston. She's scared she won't do any good, but I know how smart she is and that she'll be able to handle it. Originally she was going in to Aviation, but the head of the Nuclear Dept in the Dallas office saw her test scores and called her in to test for Nuclear and she passed so she went into it. It is a 6 yr. commitment though. Are you going to graduation? We have already booked our flights. I sure hope nothing happens and they change her date. Getting refundable tickets were going to cost like twice as much. I have not received any more messages from ship 12 div 297. I know you are missing your boyfriend. Julie has a boyfriend she has been going with about a year, they are really in love. I think I feel sorrier for him that her. He's pretty miserable right now. So your boyfriend will be going to Pensecola for school? Well gotta go wait on a customer, Talk later.

Oh that's really great! I'm happy to hear that she took the opportunity to go for her full potential, and I'm sure she'll do great! A friend of mine in the Army is in nukes. He seems like an average guy, but he's a pretty intelligent person. It really takes certain people to really make that field happen, so you must have one bright daughter!

Yes, I definitely will be going to the graduation. I wouldn't miss it for the world! His parents and I haven't booked out tickets yet because we're trying to figure out a few kinks (ie: whether or not he's a grad n go), but if we don't get a letter or hear from him by Friday, I believe we'll just go for it and hope for the best. We're all praying that he's doing all he can to graduate on time. My boyfriend's mom joked that if we really had to spend $700 on refundable tickets, she'd be mad if he DID graduate on time, hahaha.

Oh, I am definitely missing Joe many tons and more! We've been together for over a year, and spent everyday with each other. Literally. -- Man oh man, what a change it's been. But, I'm spending less of my time worrying and more of it praying that he'll do alright. I believe he will, he's got it in him (and well, I'm sure spending more time in boot camp instead of graduating might be give him that extra push to work harder, hehe). I'm not quite sure if he's going to Pensacola for A School, though I don't really have a doubt in my mind that he probably will be. =\ Fortunately, he has a shorter A School than many other fields, so hopefully he'll be stationed in San Diego right after!

I haven't heard from ship 12 div 297 yet either, but hopefully I'll get some letters this week! Please keep in touch with me, I don't believe I've found anyone else in the same one, haha. I'll keep you updated!

Hey there, Got a letter today. She sounds great. She said its tough, but she's doing alright. She said she's good at marching. Maybe you'll get one today too. She did pu a PS on the bottom saying don't buy tickets till we get the grad pak, dumb me for jumping the gun. I can change the date of the tickets, but it will cost about $100.00 to do that. I can't believe we haven't found anyone else of ship 12 div 297 yet. talk to you later

Hi! I am also the girlfriend of a recruit in this division. I'm assuming/hoping you ladies also got a wonderful phone call yesterday? How many of you plan on going to graduation? I will definitely be there! Do any of you know when the recruits will find out whether or not they're a Grad n Go? Right now, that's my biggest fear...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's not though!

Also, ktf5455-- I go to school in Charleston! (College of Charleston, to be specific). I don't know whether or not your daughter has ever been there, but I know she's gonna love it. It's absolutely beautiful and only about 10 minutes away from the beach. My boyfriend is hoping to get stationed there.
