You should have received your graduation packet quite awhile ago. Have to spoke to your son and confirmed his graduation date? If I were you I'd Google "Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Public Affairs Office" and either call or email today. Might be out of the office today if you call. They can confirm his graduation date. Also at the RTC website is a wealth of valuable info regarding PIR. If you call or email, request the info for the pass.

My daughter Merissa will be graduating that day also.We booked our hotel off of priceline and we are 3 miles from the base. then she leaves for A school on December 2 she will be flying out to San Antonio, Texas

We are staying in Vernon Hills. I don't think it's too far from the base. Josh is supposed to leave for A school on December 2nd also but says there might be a delay. I wish he was going to San Antonio, that's only 4 hours from us. He's going to Charleston, SC.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Vernon Hills. I've heard others say they are staying at the Navy Lodge, but I think you need to reserve in your son's name to do that. There are lots of hotels around though, just a matter of the price you want. If you have access to priceline, that's a good source. Just look for hotels within a certain radius of Great Lakes, IL
