HI everyone...I'm really excited! My son graduates from A school in Biloxi tomorrow morning and then he'll be home on leave for a couple of weeks. It will be so great to see him! He will be stationed in Norfolk (SGOT).

Hello ProudMom! Welcome to the group. My son is currently in Biloxi at AG school. BC, as Robin put it is tough. But the call once they become a Sailor and seeing them at graduation is worth the wait! Be sure to ask all of us any questions as you get them! Everyone here is wonderful!

Hi proudmom my son is an AG on the Essex and loves it . The tell the weather and when he came home from school he could tell us all the clouds and what it was going to do just by looking at the sky it was reall cool. I know BC is hard it was for me i cryed every night and then some i don't think you ever get over it. But when he called and said he made it i was so proud. And i still get goose bumps when i saw him march out on to the floor when he grudrate. It was wounderful they work very hard and try to keep each other in line so they all don't get in trouble and you do get a few who are there that don't want to be but eather in the end they make it or don't . Good luck to you soon to be sailor.

My daughter left for BC today. I am sad, but so proud of her! I know what an AG is but would like to learn more. Any suggestions?

Glad to hear you had a happy 4th with your son home, KY! Mine is coming on July 17 for a 2 week leave. Unfortunately I have to leave on a business trip a couple of days before he reports to Norfolk -- why do things always work out that way??? But it will be great to have him home! Can't wait!

I have my son for 2 weeks.. So it was defintly a happy 4th... rain and all.
