William oh william or anybody who will answer. Ive posted questions....Any way trying to find out how many sailors it takes to Class up for OS A school at GL. Also can daughter start regular college courses? Or must she wait until she has completed A school sent to a base then college classes? I believe that was the way it was explained to us by her recruiter....what do you suggest if any thing while on hold? Thanks.................

Good evening all.....I was not on today at all because my motorcycle club held its 9th annual Poker Run and BBQ charity event in commemoration of 9/11. It was a long day, but a great one.

Melanie - was on my Yahoo email this evening and thinking heavily about you, so I was excited when I saw you had posted a comment here on N4Ms. Call me or let me know if your cell phone is the same number. I'd love to talk with you. I do hope the move to North Carolina is a positive one for you. I am leaving early Monday morning for Washington State for 10 days, but will have my cell phone with me. You take good care of yourself and I'm so glad DJ is busy and liking his duties and school in San Diego.

Hey everyone;

Sorry I have not been on in awhile,I have had a lot going on. My husband came home on R&R from Iraq and we decided to sell our house in Texas City and I have now moved to North Carolina. I really needed a change. DJ started his A school on August 31st and is really liking it a lot, but he is very busy and really do not get to talk to him much except on the weekends because of the time difference between here and there. I am planning on flying to San Diego for New Years Eve to spend with him because he really wants to go to Texas to see his Dad and all his friends at Christmas. This will be my 1st Christmas without him so it will be sad for me. Anyways I will keep in touch now that I have my computer hooked up.

There were so many things I didn't take pictures of! This year I took a lot of breakdown pics, to show how the camp is structured.

He'd check out right after school ends on the first day, or in the morning. Check in varies, but I think before midnight is the norm. I don't really remember, and I know Glakes, as a school command, may have different guidelines. Be certain he has plenty of wiggle room for travel, the weather can be awful that time of year.

If Tyler applies for 3 day leave at Thanksgiving, what time would he be able to leave base on first day and what time would he need to be back on base on last day? We're trying to decide how early he could catch a flight home. We live over 300 miles from base.

cindy-did i see you in the great lakes A school Q & A?? if you posted a question on there and it wasn't answered by william, i have a suggestion. Send him(william) a friend request and ask your question directly to him. he doesn't moderate the group all day as he has duties, and if you send your question he'll answer it directly to you or see if he can get an answer for you. hope that helps!
william is a commander of one of the ships on the A school side.
