Hey Gary, Hope your morning is going good. I have a question for you...did Nick have classes on "A" school before he started "A" school? Corey said that he is taking "A" school classes but is unable to take the test ...just notes. (self passed) He will attend the "A"school classes, that are all pilot now but I didn't know if this was something new or if it was part of the course...I think Corey will have DOG DUTY the weekend of Labor Day...fiddle sticks!!

Well Karen, Nick likes A-School. He has a 95 Average for two and one half weeks. I think he is still feeling the effect of the 11 week hold before he started A-School. Next week-end Nick has DOG DUTY. This Thursday I am leaving for Vegas again. Driving my nieces car back. Won't be home til the 29th. Hope my middle son will be able to pick Nick up for his week-end on the 28th. On the brighter side the Labor Day week-end is coming up. I think it will be a 5 day break. So says Nick. Melanie: Woooohooo....I am so happy for you!! Give him a Big Navy Mom Hug for us...and from Dad's too...lol (hope that's okay, guys)... :-) We are glad that he is home safe and sound!!! Karen C. :-)

Gary: So glad that you are back safe and sound...sorry that Nick wasn't so happy on the way back!! It was dark here at times but it didn't rain until late in the afternoon...and only for about 2 hours. But over all we had a good weekend. Hoping that Corey will be home this coming weekend...I sure do miss him. Well, everyone, have a goodnight and sweet dreams of your sailors...talk with you tomorrow as well....Karen C. :-)

Well everyone, just got back from my weekly trip to Great Lakes. All is well and in good hands. Nick wasn't too happy about the trip back. He sure lights up on the way home though. I was surprised at what a beautiful day it was when I arrived at 19:00 hours. When I left Peru the sky was overcast and rainy. Told Nick 8 more weeks of school then we will see when he ships. Eh, does anyone remember about when the discussion about POV's took place? GL seems like the only available alternatives are the cab and wherever the train goes.

We're planning on just sharing my Ford POS even though he can't figure out how to make it accelerate. Then when he gets his first orders, I'm planning on selling it for scrap (or sell it to someone else for the scrap price if it still runs) and we'll get a better junker when we get there.

Hey Country Girl, Karen C....lol lol. Sorry I just assumed you knew what a POV is. Michael was talking about getting a car about 3-4 weeks ago. Will, bless his heart, gave his (Navy's) take on a POV while in A school and I passed it on to Michael along with other comments from people who have not had a good experience with it.
