Birthday Cards for Recruits in Boot Camp

Birthday Cards for Recruits in Boot Camp

I would like to send our recruits Birthday cards or an Anniversary card while they are in boot camp.

If there is anyone else interested, I am sure if the parent or spouse has given the info, then it is alright to send also. As a way to show support, encouragement, gratitude and respect to them while they are away from their families. If you have a recruit with a Birthday or Anniversary coming up and do not mind your new extended family sending them a card, please reply including their last and first names, birth day (or anniv), div and ship. Please do not list their age or birth year on the public forum. That can be shared in an email if needed, so as to not disclose information that may harm them later.

Hi guys, my son said he got your cards, LOL
Said he enjoyed them.
I told him tho that his grandma sent him a talking birthday card and not to open it up. Then he said that is ok. That his dad had sent him a musical one already. Gulp..............
I asked him what happened. He said nothing. That the RDC just laughed.
Thank goodness, LOL

Anyways, thanks for doing this.

In an attempt to kinda let the recruits know who we are; more or less that I am not a "complete" stranger, I have started putting: N4Ms Mom above my return address. That way, if they are asked if they know the person, maybe it will associate the name to the parent or spouse if they have mentioned the site.

I sent out all the recruits their cards this morning. I wrote a note for each of the kids.
Hope they enjoy getting "stranger's" mail, LOL
But I think it is a great idea. All mail would be appreciated.
