Hi Doug's Mom (Robin)
At least you were Praying tired and all. you still prayed,
I know it's hard forgiveness is a Battle within itself. especially when it's senseless and your child..

They say God Loves the Sinner but hates the Sin,

Yes Forgiveness is a tough Test I promise you every one in there life will have a hard time forgiven someone who has hurt, mistreated, abused, etc
But the Lord's Prayer Matthew 6:9 Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
It means forgive me for any hurt, abuse, mistreated, etc that I may have caused . and I'm forgiving those who have abused, hurt, mistreated, etc.
I say that Prayer everynight I mean everynight. Forgive me lord because
evil thoughts are Sin .Anger is sin.. being angry is Sin
{ Eph 4:26 } Be angry and don't let the sun go down on your wrath.simply means to get over it.
, So I realease all of it when I Pray and I have to say sometimes when I know better Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, and Instantly I'm realeased..
and Lord I will do the same and forgive them you'll forgive but you want forget...but if you stay focus on it it can consume your spirit .I have to tell my self LET GO, LET GOD, easy said than done. Huh
Unforgiveness is a Habit trap. and dealing with Public / People-- You need to be Prayed -up. or you will run into all types of demonic /evil / deceiving spirits and they can be contiagous if your not Prayed up-
My prayer for you is that you stay Prayed-up ..because evil is always present like you said..

Be BlessedDoug's Mom
And know that ROBIN your an Insirpation to me. I thank God for your Humbleness and truthfulness. we all have some battles we're constanly fighting
I'm a living witness to that..
Much love
Jen

Yes ,

Helen and Ray I will pray In the Name of Jesus for our Precious Raymond That whatever Prayer you Prayed .
The word {Matthew 18:19} says if 2 or more agree it shall be done and that's Healing and deliverance for Raymond. And I agree with You and so many more Praying Souls.
The Prayer of the righetous availeth Much {James 5:16}

Raymond is a Blessing,
A Miracle waiting to Happen in God's time not Man... And I Thank God for every one who had a part (Maryellen ) In allowing me to be a part of Raymonds Life to Pray for him .

I am tired and worn out today. So much to pray for, I fell asleep in the midst of prayers last night. I know the Lord tells us in Romans 12:21, "Dont let evil get the best of you, get the best of evil by doing good." It is sin that causes diseases, sadness, stress, murder, killing, all of that. God does hate all that sin and the sadness it causes. He does say vengence is his. I know we must pray to be forgiving and we must forgive as he forgives us. But IT IS HARD to forgive and be forgiving to those that hurt, kill, etc.etc., in what seems to us to be senseless tragic events.

Pray Raymond is not having seizures
Posted 6 hours ago
Raymond had blood pressure instability and dialysis issues last night. We did not officially get dialysis running until at 4:30 am, we were hoping for last night at 8:00 pm. We had several start and stops and ended up losing 150 ml of blood due to machine issues. Once it was restarted at 4:30 am there has not been any issues. It took until 2:00 am to get his blood pressure stable and we waited until 3:00 with him to make sure it stayed. We think a lot of that was due to the heart cath procedure and dialysis issues, more dialysis.

This morning we are having more heart blood instability. Did the usually to support it with volume of 200 mls and increased epinephrine to .09. Also changed the ventilator from volume control to pressure control. With volume control the pressure is variable to achieve a set volume to achieve a certain lung expansion. With pressure control the volume is variable and the pressure is set. The reason we did this was lower the pressure going into his lungs because it was causing issues getting blood through the pulmonary arteries and back to his heart. We will check a gas to verify his oxygen and CO2 levels are still being maintained. We also need to keep an eye on his tidal volume since he is this mode does not guarantee a preset amount. The x-ray is more definitive for showing the lung expansion.

NEW IMPORTANT issue for this morning. He had repetitive motions with his right arm going up and down, mouth clinching, and eye twitching. This came along with vital sign issues. A seizure is feared. So he was put on seizure medicine ativan, he is already on versed and dexmedetomidine. Right now he is getting a EEG and then is going the CAT lab for a scan.

PLEASE PRAY that Raymond is not having any seizures.
PRAY we can get a more stable blood pressure
PRAY we get more fluid off he body he is a little bigger each day.
PRAY we can keep PLE under control
PRAY that Raymond's lung function continues to improve
PRAY the kidneys do not take a hit from the contrast die that was used to get imagery in the cath lab. This is what the 12 hour cycle with dialysis is for.

Busy morning need to run.

Love in Christ,
Ray and Helen

Out of cath lab
Posted 9 hours ago
11-5-09 10:00 pm

Raymond is out of the cath lab and doing well. He tolerated it well. Got good access through his right jugular vein through his neck and got the pictures and measurements necessary. We were worried they would have to get access through the liver.

What was found is that Raymond's fontan is in good shape and his pulmonary arteries both had good blood flow. The pressures were high but not any higher than severe lung disease would cause and the venous pressure matched the pulmonary pressure which is also good and also indicates that there is not any real obstructions in the pulmonary system. Unfortunately this means there is not any new therapy and procedure that will give Raymond any quick advancement, but on the other hand it indicates he has no long term pulmonary issues that will complicate his lung healing. Patience is now what is being used to describe the course for his lung healing, which Helen and I have been espousing.

The bad news that we received is that Raymond's fontan is no longer fenestration. Can not imagine that we will not have to fenestrate it in the near future. It will also hinder his recovery and cause his PLE to be harder to treat. I think this is the reason we have had wild swings in his blood pressure lately. I am pretty sure that it was still open on the recent echo. The fenestration is a blow off hole between Raymond's common atrium and the new conduit that is made to attach his superior and inferior vena cava to his pulmonary vessels. What the fenestration accomplishes is it allows peak pressures to blow off through the hole to keep the extra load off his heart, venous and pulmonary vessels.

Dialysis was supposed to be started immediately once Raymond returned from the cath lab to help remove the contrast die that is used during the procedure. They came up late and the machine still is not working properly at 10:00 pm. The ICU in charge doctor wanted it running by 8:00 pm. It is only supposed to run 12 hours.

Please pray that Raymond's lung function continues to improve
Pray the kidneys do not take a hit from the contrast die that was used to get imagery in the cath lab

Love in Christ,
Ray and Helen

Wow what a day full of praise, prayer, sorrow, hope dispair, we need you saviour! Praise to you Lord for each stride you healing touch is making in little Raymond's body. We thank you for that. All these other horrific events at Ft Hood, TX, today...the kind of thing that makes us stumble and fall, and then we become aware of how desperately we are in need of God. I too, am just numb about this shooting at Ft Hood.
I Peter 5:7-10 Turn all your worries over to Him. He cares for you. Be on your guard. The devil is like a roaring lion and he prowls around looking for so,eone to chew up and devour. Stand upo to him. Stand firm in what you believe. All over the world you know that your brothers and sisters are going through the same kind of suffering. God always gives all the grace you need.
Be careful, me too because it is things like this that I dont understand and dont see God working. That is exactly what the devil wants to do to us. Pray, keep the faith, dont give up!!!
Lord, we dont understand the why of all this, and there are so many lives hurt and affected by this shooting and in so many ways. Lord, please cover us with your precious blood. We know you understand suffering and pain. Please be with these families and all those men and women at Ft Hood. Have mercy on those who have left us, and cover those grieving families with your love and peace. I really am at a loss of words to speak or say... I too, am numb...Be with us Lord. Be with us and help us all.
