Hey got a text that they were on TV at the Navy Memorial. Anyone know how to see this?

I texted our son the other day about applebees and know that we will go to Applebees in the future to support a company that will support our troups.
I also told him that Outback Steakhouse is also giving something free, but not for sure if it's a free meal or half off, to the military on Vet's Day. I heard it and saw it only once and so if anyone sees the ad for sure let us know. I never remember hearing this before, but I have never had a military connection before.

I haven't heard about anything yet, but they must be!

The only thing my guard told me was that Applebees is giving free food to all active duty people on Veterans Day. Always thinking about their stomach! LOL!

Do any of you know if there are any ceremonies our sailors will be participating in tomorrow?

AMEN. That is a beautiful image Cheri!

I still remember my great Uncle Willis who gave his life during WW1 in France at the tender age of 22. His body was never recovered. Now that I am a mother of a child in the service, I can imagine how devastating that was for the family. God bless all our service men and women.

Thank you to all of our Veterans who unselfishly gave of themselves for my freedom. Let's remember them EVERY day, not just on November 11th.

Well said, Marty Carys mom. And I too am feeling very sad for the families and friends of the dead and wounded at Ft. Hood. They are all in my prayers.

I took down the pictures above because they were out of date and no one has offered new ones to replace them. I'll going to put those links above on a discussion group in case someone wants to see them at a later date.

Well Karen I really empathize with you and your son. But above all I commend him for not participating in risky behavior. My advice would be to continue to encourage him as best you can. Dont feel to bad that you dont hear from him it is very normal I usually talk to my son when I call him or he needs something. I am ok with that. I know he loves us and is just establishing his own life. I pray for him everyday I think of him everytime I see a little toe headed boy and thank God for him. It will get easier, your son will make friends, he sounds like a wonderful young man. Try not to worry so much I know it is very very hard. God has everything in control I have to tell myself that all the time. Have a blessed weekend. Also lets all take time this weekend to pray protection over our troops both here and abroad in the wake of the tragedy at fort hood my heart is heavy and feel impressed to spend extra time in prayer. God Bless
