TV COMMERCIAL !

I SAW A TV COMMERCIAL THE OTHER DAY FOR NAVYFORMOMS.COM. HOW WONDERFUL! I never imagined they would have a commercial. IT WAS IN LOS ANGELES, CA and I was so impressed and excited for the website and that more navy moms may join from it!

lucyloves:  Not sure about the diabetes issue.  Did you ask your recruiter?  Here is a website that has info about types of discharges:

Blessings to your SR as he makes his way through this.

Prayers for all.

Hi, I haven't been here in quite some time. Many prayers for this family that has suffered such losses. I can't imagine, I don't understand what God's plan is for this family. My heart dropped when reading about them, how terribly sad.

Sorry to hear the 'computer' field is 'over manned.' That will be hard for those entering that field. There are different 'A' schools for each rate.

Our Sailor is currently deployed, his wife is home with us. All has been going well, we are getting ready for our other son to graduate high school and getting his party planned. Hard to believe it has been two years since our Sailor and wife graduated. Time goes by much too fast.

Prayers for those requested.

Searching for an answer and thought you might know. Is type 2 diabetes a disqualification for the navy reserve? Also, if he is medically discharged, will that be considered an honorable discharge? Was told he could request a discharge and it wouldn't be dishonorable but don't know. Does anyone know? He is having a hard time getting blood sugar regulated.

Yes, the Navy has different A Schools depending on the position.  I sure hope something opens up for him, Queenann.  We sure heard that alot on this site....that a job is "overmanned."  But hoping that he gets this resolved soon!  And if he is forced into another position, that it will be something he loves even more!

Queenann, My son just graduated from A school in San Antonio as a Hospital Medical Corpsman.  Not sure if the Navy has different A schools for different positions.

Joemama, sorry your son didn't get to come home for the wedding.  Glad he has a good attitude about it.

We are so enjoying our son's time home.  He actually made my bed for me.  I couldn't believe it, that was a first, and so sweet.  He and I watched the final episode of "House" together.  House reminds us of my dad and his grandpa who passed away four years ago, so we relate and find him irritatingly endearing ;)

Before he enlisted in the navy My son was told that he only needs clearance for Computer jobs now he has clearance and they tell him computer jobs are over manned. He is at A school but still does not know what he is being trained for. Anyone knows anything about this. I am still praying that God will make a way for computer job vacancy.
