Hi NM Cheryl- We went to Corpsman Graduation last June. It is a very nice, more casual ceremony than PIR. Unfortunately, not as many families can make it to the ceremony. There were only two other families there besides ours. But being smaller, does not make it less meaningful. The chief gave his speech and mentioned a special trait or situation about each graduate. He labeled his speech "Aim for the Sky" (The special meaning there was, my daughter got that tattooed between her shoulder blades during A school. There was no wait or crowds. But I was put in charge of several of the sailors cameras, so they could send pictures home. (Little did they know how inept, I am at photography.) But all went well and getting to meet the people my sailor had been around for the last couple of months was very exciting! Enjoy your time with your sailor!!

Hello aglatty3, we welcome you, most everyone is moving to the other corpsman group because we've had problems with this sight working properly, it's the same group of great ladies and gents we're just in a different spot.

Corpsman Graduation is nothing like PIR. Much more relaxed. But it is still very nice.

Hello Everyone,
I have a question about the Corpsman Graduation. What should I expect? My son Graduates in December at GL. We have not received any info yet. Does anyone know what time of day, how long it is etc. I only know 2-groups will be graduating together possibly 120 of them. I hope it is not like Boot Camp Grad. Not as far as the line up of cars waiting & trying to get into the "Gates" that was an unorganized nightmare. Please give me any possible info you have.
Thanks! Cheryl

Ruthella, there have been problems regarding emails due to the "Ning" thing and Admin is aware of it. Are you receiving this? Now this is a dumb question...if not, let me know! hahaha

Oh, good. I seem to have been able to post. Had a very weird response from my computer screen when I clicked on "Add Comment." I guess things are operationally better? Has everyone moved on to another site as stated in some of the blogs?

I haven't been to this site for many a day. Had some time to myself, and a day off work so I thought I would pay a visit.

Joe called a couple of nights ago--in the wee hours of the dark--to say "hi" and let us know he was fine. It was very difficult to make out what he was saying to us, but the sound of his voice was very comforting. He is unable to answer any e-mail at this time, so we were beginning to get a little worried. He couldn't tell us where he was, nor what he was doing (of course), but said he was fine. I asked him what time it was (naughty me) so I was able to kinda-sorta figure out his general vicinity.

Does anyone here have a family member with the 11th MEU? It would be great to talk to someone from that group.

Well HI everyone, we'll see if it takes off this time and goes to Corpsman moms.
Something not kosher , sounds like a few have tried, but still nothing.
Hope all are well, and happy.
It is hectic around my house at this time, I'll be back later
