I think I found a picture on the internet that solved my problems with the stockings!

I made all the kids Christmas stockings but they aren't cross stitched they are the felt ones with all the stuffed appliques and beads and sequins. I made them for my 2 boys, then married a man with 2 daughters so I made theirs, now I've added 3 spouses (more to come), and some of the grandkids. I have about 7 more to make, more grandkids coming! I'm wondering if I should have stopped at 4, I've run out of room to hang them on the mantel!

My husband keeps telling me I should start those grandkid's stockings now since it takes me so long. I'll have to figure out what I can do for my son.

Hey Sue !!! I should have mentioned crossstitching sooner . I'm always amazed at how many people do it. Haven't attempted the Christmas stockings. Maybe I'll start when the grandkids come along.

I have been a cross stitcher for about 25 years, able to do more when the kids were little during nap time than I seem to get done now that they are adults! This might just kick start me back to finishing some projects. I to Laura, made all the kids Christmas stockings, I hate to say mine took many many years to finish but hangs there proudly now. Even got one done for my son-in-law.
Look forward to following everyone's projects.

I haven't been crosstitching much lately. But, now I will have to hurry up and finish the helicoptor I've been working on because I just got 3 new kits in the mail. One is the training plane my son has been training on -- the T34 , one is the P3 airplane my son will be flying through out his Naval career, and one is the Navy wings. So, I'm back to stitchin !!!

I'm actually making another Christmas stocking. I do them on 11 ct so they come out about 2 feet long and wide. When I get Christmas stuff out this year and hang them all on the fireplace I'll have to take a picture. I've made one ofr everyone and I have this little bitty one, so I'm trying to get myself one made before Christmas! laura
