Thank you. I hear really nice things about Pensacola. It is funny that he spent the whole winter freezing in Great Lakes, and now will go down to Pensacola for the dog days of summer!! I will surely visit in the fall if I can!

Cathy, congratulations to your son on completing A-School. Pensacola is a great place to go for school or a duty station. It's real nice there - a Navy town all the way.

Hi everyone. I just returned from my son's graduation from corpsman A school in Great Lakes last week and he will be going to Pensacola C school next week for AVT and NACCS and then continuing on for SAR training.
It is all very exciting, but at the same time find myself a nervous wreck at each phase.
Good luck to all your sailors in C school....... Cathy

Hello my name is Brenda. My son is in A school for CTT. How long is A school and how many C schools does he have to attend? He is stationed in P'Cola. Are all the schools located in P'Cola required for him , or will he be going off to another state. Thank you for your response. Have a nice evening everyone.

Cora, I thought I would join your C-School group here on N4M's also.

My son is in San Diego attending C-School for IC. He has 4 schools to attend the first of which started back in March and the last class will end around Oct. 1st. Upon completion of his last C-School he will report to the destroyer USS Howard also based in San Diego.

My son is just finishing A school at Great Lakes and then my understanding is he will be going to Virginia for C school. We are from Washington and Whidbey Island is beautiful so all your sons and daughters should feel blessed as it is really nice there and lots to do when they get a few minutes to themselves. I hope myson has an easier time connecting with fellow sailors then he has at A school. He is older then most (29) and has wanted to do things while at Great Lakes but most of the sailors are a lot younger and have other things on their minds. I told him he sounds like an old man but I guess those 10 years between 19 and 29 do make your thought process a bit different.

my son Steven graduated from boot camp in Great Lakes and A School in Pensacola. Then he headed for Lemoore, CA for C School. He will be deployed in July, but I'm not sure where. He has not said. He is AO as well. I was not aware they could or would be sent to places like Afganistan before C school, where it is my understanding is where they get trained more specifically for the military path they have chosen. I do believe he will be home before he is deployed so I do believe he will be home for the 4th of July. What a celebration. We plan a BIG Bar-B-Que. Not sure about fireworks because of the extreme heat we are having in TEXAS (no rain and fire bans). He will be gone fro approx 6 months and I know those will be the longes 6 months of my life.
