Can you tell me if my daughter will be going to NAS Pensacola or Corry from RTC? I read that she goes to NAS for a month's training but that was posted a few years ago. Thanks!

Robyn I believe that CTT go to NAS first and take the ATT class. Then they transfer over to Corry station for the CTT class. She could be at NAS for several months depending on when she is able to get into the ATT class. But they will keep her busy during the wait times.

That is correct they go to NAS first.

Hello RobynS,    My son is a 6 yr and he started class at NAS on Aug 6th or 8th and just finished on approx. the 25th of Sept. That is about 7 weeks but they were evacuated for about 3 days of their school. He just moved to Corry and will start A school on the 16th or 18th of Oct.  Oh yeah, and his PIR was 06/01/12, Some how he missed the class that started in July.   Hope this helps...   Shelley

My son is just finishing up @ Corry. I will tell you he has been in Pensacola for over 1 3/4 years since getting there. The classes were more difficult than he expected. Tell your sailors to study hard so they can be at the top of the class. Then they can have a chance @ their dream stations.

Thanks for all your replies - very helpful information! Guess I'll know more on Friday when she graduates.

Robyn - She will go to Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) which is located on NAS Pensacola first.  There she will learn electronics.   For the CTT's, only the ones that are in the Advanced Electronic Field (AEF) go there.  AEF's are the 6 year CTT's.  All the 4 year CTT go  directly to Corry Station.

In addition to the 6 year CTT's, they also send the CTM's there too.

Since your daughter is a 6 year CTT, then this thread will help you.....

She's in indoc now at Corry station. She says she's supposed to take classes at NAS but doesn't know when. Seems dumb to move her to Corry and then to NAS. Guess we'll find out more later.

RobynS, That does seem "different" my son just started his A school class (6yr CTT) yesterday at Corry. He did start at NAS. Good to hear from you.   Shelley

My son is home visiting after completing all of his classes and he told me that they were changing when they take the ATT school so that they are taking shipboard ops and some other class first.  Maybe they will have a bus take them to class at NAS.  One never knows with the Navy.

My son got to P'cola the end of December and went straight to Corry.  He just started his "A" school this week.  Must be a scheduling thing and they fit in the ATT school whenever it works best?
