Welcome Carol (my name is Carol too, but there are so many of us here I go by charley.....lol). My daughter is a DC on the USS George Washington, the permanently forward deployed carrier. They are based in Japan but are currently on deployment.

Hi Carol, Welcome to N4M's! My son Austin is on the USS Donald Cook, they just left for their 6 month deployment on July 20.

HI! GUYS! I did not know there was a DC Mom's Group...Great!

My son is Jason, he is on the Reagan and is deployed. He is 20 and this is his second deployment.

When he told me he wanted to be a DC/Fireman, I said, "Wait, Jace, you want to run TOWARD the fire?"

He confidently said, "Mom, someone has to save the ship!" ;) That's my boy!

I look forward to interacting with you all, I am near San Diego. CA.
