Here is all that I could find about BECC. http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=15286 . Don't know if that will help answer your question or not.

My son is in bootcamp right now PIR is 11-14 ( i think, got it off a website). He is DC. I am glad to see their is a group for this. I have tried to find a group for that PIR date and for DIV 952 but couldnt so i was so excited when i put in DC and found this site. Some one told me they would stay in GL for 5 weeks for BECC and then 5 weeks of A school. I am not sure when all that happens. I am still learning. Thanks, Bridgette

Hi! My recruit is currently in boot camp. Susposed to stay at GL for A school after PIR for Damage Control. Damage Control has a lot of different rates, it is very confusing as to what they will be doing. Check out this website it lists some of the different rates in the Damage Control area http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/navyjobs/bldc.htm. Can't seem to find anything on how long the schooling takes. I have read a lot of posting on here about sailors being in holding or on hold waiting for their A schooling to begin, some have listed waiting 2-8 months after PIR. Don't know if any of this is helpful or not.
