My only girl is leaving for boot camp December 3rd, 2013. She will be a hospital corpsman. She won't be home for the first time for Christmas. I am glad to have her until December though.

patsmom - I work with a lot of deppers (future sailors). I just hate it when I hear they have stood up at the Moment of Truth. When they do that, they will be coming home (ie they will be kicked out). The bottomline is DON'T STAND UP.... Everything should have long been solved before then.
I also would suggest he read this thread. It will show him the easy way of learning the 11 General Orders....

My son leaves in June. Getting excited for him and a little nervous for me. He is my last one at home. It will be just me and the new pup.

Just thought I would introduce myself, My son will leave for bc October 30,2013. Been looking around and haven't seen any with october leave date yet. He may possibly get reassigned but that is up in the air. This is my second experience with sending a son to bc. My oldest made it 3 weeks and ended up coming home so at this point I am cautiously optimistic.
