So I've finally heard back that my husband is back in a division and will graduate May 20! My question is: does anyone know about the being able to go to graduation? I had gotten a password for the gate pass for his original graduation date but now that it's changed I don't know if I can get it now. Has anyone else had this happen to them too? Did you get to go to graduation?

hi Wills! yeah stress fractured are very common... I don't think he will be sent home. My sister broke her right leg and still in a cast since january... it's very difficult for her to accept the fact that it happened a week prior to her graduation... She is trying to be strong in RCU and told us that she won't give up!... I am hoping for your husband's fast recovery...

My husband called friday to let me know that he is now moved to RCU with stress fractures in both his knees. I spoke to him again yesterday and he said that today he goes for an MRI and physical therapy. I'm very worried about him, he was so excited to finally be in boot camp and said he was enjoying it very much. I'm afraid that he's going to be sent home because of this and not be able to re-enlist again. Can anyone tell me if it's common to be able to stay and recover from something like this? And if he is sent home if for sure he can re-enlist again after recovery?

My boyfriend was suppose to graduate tomorrow: 1/14. Last week my boyfriend was sick in the hospital with a pneumonia so he missed his run test, another test & battle stations.... The last time I heard from him was last saturday when he told me he was going back to boot camp. He didn't know if he would still be able to graduate on 1/14 since he missed important things while he was sick. I was really hoping that "no news is good news", after not hearing anything from him all week. Yesterday I gave his mom the number to call public affairs & she was told he wasn't graduating 1/14 & that they wouldn't know when he would graduate & that he will not have a graduation. His mom said something with his leg was bothering him.... I have no idea whats going on but hope to have a letter or call soon. I think my boyfriend will be sent to ship 6.

Hi all,
I want to know how I can keep my son motivated to stay and keep his spirits up??
he called sad, crying, and wanted to come home... he said if he can't do the job he joined to do then he wants to come home. I want him to stay and fix whatever is wrong....
I write every day sometimes twice.
it's killing me that I can't call him to tell him it will be okay and it is a small bump in the road....
after reading your post it is nice to know he will get to call. lets hope I can talk to him and encourage him to get well.
thanks for letting me vent
oh yeah he hurt his back and went in to be a SEAL.
they told him if he has back problems he could not do spec ops. crushed him
