Made such wonderful Navy Parents, and wives and girlfriends and also one Coast Guard Dad from Oregon. It was great to meet them all. They were so friendly, inviting, and warm, I really feel so close to my Navy family. Maybe its because we have something in common, but honestly, if I'd met them somewhere else, I feel we'd hit it off then too!
The wife of the sailor who PIR'd with my son in Great Lakes has an ET wife, and she is expecting. Isn't that great news?
Everyone going somewhere different....

Thanks for posting the pictures of Patrick and his graduation. I'm soooo glad you got to go! Where is Patrick off to now?

3 wks of block one bravo, then home July 24 - Aug 22, (he says he will be working with the recruiter some) then off to Japan, just like Claire, right?

What great photos!!! The Navy and the Coast Guard together - such a keepsake that photo will be! I think Patrick must be following Claire...they will both be in Yokosuka!

Where is Patrick going to in Japan? Which base and ship? Claire loves Japan and we can't wait to go visit...we're aiming for spring break in March 2010...Maybe yall could join us!

on behalf of Patrick :-) He's gonna be in Yokosuka with Claire but on the flagship...USS Blue Ridge. This is the ship that the Admiral travels on.

Carol,
That is so great about Patrick going to Japan. You'll have to join the USS George Washington moms and the Japan moms' sites too. There is a lot of great info on both sites! I'll tell Claire to look out for him when they return to base. She loves being in Japan and shipboard duty isn't so bad.

You should tell me all about Claire's Shellback ritual. He is going through that now, but will have to experience it for himself. Spring break, eh? If I catch a break and get a job I could set some money aside to do that. I can't think of anyone I'd rather go with _ except maybe Mary!!! Or Jackie. Or.... Well, you know..
