So the movers just finished their walk through. It was not as bad as I expected. There are very few items they will not move, so that is good!!! They will be here at 8 am on Monday to pack and move us!! I'm sooo excited. My daughters last day of school is Tuesday, and then bright and early Wednesday morning we begin our 2 day drive to GL. Also, somehow we magically got base housing. We only have to stay in a hotel for 5 days. I don't know how that happened, but I'm so happy it did. So come Thursday evening, we will be in GL and as soon as they call liberty Friday, my hubby is all mine and my baby gets her Daddy back!!!
If there is anyone in this group that lives out there and has any advice for us as to meeting people and getting settled please let me know.
YAY!! I can't wait!!! It's been too too long!!!!

I was one of those crazy people this morning, in line at target at 3.30am. I just must be nuts!!
But 7 hours later I am home and have got some of the big stuff out of the way. Now once hubby gets back from the dentist, it's off to cut down the family tree. A tradition we started 21 years ago. Every day after thanksgiving, Come rain, snow or shine ( usually snow, it is Minnesota after all) we all bundle up, find the perfect tree, go on sleigh rides, see santa and live reindeer and drink hot apple cider. The only downside is as my kids grow and move out, our numbers are dwindling. O well, hopefully in years to come spouses and grandkidsa can join in too.

Yesterday my hubby put in my kitchen sink, we got new counters. That was great. I'm going to tile the backsplash myself. We dropped by to say hi to my dad, and to my SIL, but we didn't stick around. We went out to dinner, but I have the urge to bake pies. My kitchen will be put back together soon and then I can bake pies!

Great mailing tips, would you put them in the comments of my blog? Then I can update it later and incorporate that in the information. Keep them coming! Let me know if I've got it right... LL, we didn't have the internet when I was in, so I keep forgetting about all the new services and choices.

Good Friday Morning! I am glad to be going to work today. Watching the News and there's too many people shopping!!
Another request: I still have not heard from my son Matt. It was so hard yesterday to not hear his voice. know no news is good news but this is driving me crazy!!

We were so blessed to hear from Claire twice the past two days! What a wonderful Thanksgiving! I now have her new cell phone number and can reach out and call her too! She says she is planning on going out and doing some sightseeing since they are back in homeport in Japan. Sure do hope she can!

Another tip for mailing...if you have ANY unused spaces, fill them with the individually wrapped wintergreen or peppermint Lifesaver mints! It gives them some more munchies and makes the box and everything in it smell good too!

Just talked to my sailor. His 1st Thanksgiving away from home. Say he had a good day. The USO cooked and volunteers came and served them. Said it just was a very warm feeling in his heart. Unfortuantly some sailors did not show their appreciation. Gotta be from the South to understand I guess. Happy Thanksgiving to All and God Bless The USA.

AntiM - Also, when you create your shipping label on USPS.com, delivery confirmation is free. If you get it from the Post Office, you have to pay extra .80. That's not much, but it's something!
