Aaron is getting homesick. This sitting on hold is driving him crazy. He is used to doing farmwork and hunting and fishing and running around with family and friends. He has a month to go before he can leave for Texas to see his dad and step mom on leave. He says it is even worse on the days that he has duty because he can't leave his baracks at all. The rest get to go so he is by himself pretty much of the day.
Luckily he has his computer and cell phone or he would go nuts

Hello Everyone!! Hope you all are having a fabulous Sunday :) I have not been on lately I apologize. I watch 7 of my cousins through the week (different ones different days not all at once) Not a whole lot to update. Hubby had planned on being finished up with all his schooling end Jan to first of Feb, but now it looks like they may finish up before Christmas stand down! I know he wont mind. He graduated back in March and was on hold for 4 months to even start his A school. This will be his second winter at GL, though the first time he was in BC. We are getting kinda antsy now being so close to finishing up here and finding out where he will be going for his C schooling.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and all is well with your sailors :)

We finally heard from Claire last night...soooo good to hear her voice. It had been 3 weeks since the last phone call....I know I'm spoiled but I love hearing my baby girl's voice. She really sounded tired. She is on night shift and seems not to get enough sleep. Guess that is part of this tho.... She shared some of her adventures from Hong Kong....She did some shopping and also Claire said she has eaten a lot of new things...she used to be a "picky eater", but has now had octopus and squid...hmmmm.....Life is full of changes! However, we will still have the same meals as always on holidays when she is home, plus...of course, her full share of Tex-Mex! She was sooooo excited that they found a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong that offered fajitas with "real" guacamole made from avacadoes, not mushy stuff that happened to be colored green and made from who knows what....Guess we always look for a touch of home no matter where we are...

Hello Everyone. I hope all is well in your families and busy lives. I just wanted to drop in ... say "hello" as I don't get on this site as often as I would like too. I hope everyone has a grand week and hears from their Sailor ... my Sailor Girl has had the opportunity to call us :-) it sure has made a big difference in her little sister's life. Little sister really misses her big sister and this has become a big adjustment for her, for all of us. Anyone with younger siblings at home drop me a line and let me how they are doing/adjusting with their brother/sister being away from the family nest ... Any advice? Thanks.

My son said he painted, moved furniture around in some of the classrooms, cleaned, even put up antenna's which (believe it or not) he actually enjoyed. I will assure you he never did these things at home. He saids they stay busy. This has been good for him.
