Hi Everyone- update- I heard from her last night- now she's in RCU with a stress fracture-  she sounded a little more upbeat...

i'm glad she got to talk to you. she will be fine. they get emotional after all this, but they do work with them and they do improve. she tests three times a week unless there is a holiday. as long as she is improving, she will stay until she passes. i promise, when this is over, she will forget everything about it. they simply move on! it is so much worse for us at home because we don't know what is going on. hang in there!

Today was to be her PIr-  and no calls- so I'm sitting at home today- instead of work- hoping that one day soon I'll get the call- and not a call about being separated....

awwww, i was wondering! sorry to hear he is still there, but prayers today is the day. he has to be getting better and stronger with all this training!!! my sailor missed pir, too. he says he will never regret having been in fit, though, he learned a lot. i think pir is more for the family, anyway. has he been able to call much? sammy

ps...liz's mom... any news?

Hi my support group

just wanted to say, I am still praying for our sailors. My ST is still in fit. He is still having challenges with the float. Does anyone knows how possible this may be. He missed his PIR last week. Do you have any idea how many times they are tested or how long they are kept in fit before they are discharged and what is the policy on being discharged

welcome liz's mom. no, don't cancel yet. no guarantee, but with 10 days to go there is a very good chance she can make up that time and graduate with her division. she will call when she passes bs, and some get calls when they pass the run. often that is allowed in cases like this when travel is involved. she will test three times a week and train on the off days. they work hard with her, it isn't such a bad place to be. glad you found us! sammy
