Navy For Moms

Hi crew,

Molly has announced their group for these 2 months. We won't be sending them pillowcases as Lyn has been making Christmas stockings with seabees on them. In fact, she is going need some help sewing them up. She says they are very easy. So please leave her a message if you are able to help with that.

Instead, we are going to take the groups that have asked for support on the Molly website and weren't adopted. I've asked Tina to post those links to this thread. If I recall, they were smaller groups, so think we could do them all.

My focus is pillowcases although I will include other things if I have room. So the aren't necessarily a Christmas thing. I just hate to skip a month from doing a group. The NY is just a special project.

Lyn, can you post a picture of the completed stocking? I don't know how to get it from Molly's page.

Here they are. They are not very large. Molly wanted something to be able to hold 3 or 4 small items.

I didn't realize we already had stockings. I could help sew some of them.

Sue, I have some Christmas flannel that will make a nice pillowcase and another piece of xmas fabric. So I'll have at least 2 for our other troops.

That's wonderful Lyn. The pictiures didn't come thru-at least on my computer.

Barbara, that's great. Lyn says they are real simple-how many can you do?

Lyn, what are the instructions once they are sewn? where do they go?

They pictures will come through in a little while. All photos have to be approved by the site because of OPSEC. Just be patient, they're there. If you want to send the stockings back to me, that will be fine. Just so I get them back by Dec. 1st. If you want to send them on to the Chaplain that is our contact that is fine, just let me know when they are mailed. Please put a note or some Christmas messages in the box if you send them directly.

Sue, Can I have a small group of my own? My boys aren't getting home for the Holidays this year.

Lyn, I can sew some. Do you want me to PM you my address?

Lyn, they are so cute! I will mail direct as I have scarfs to send also.

Can you mail some to Ally, Dori and Barbara. Maybe send some of your 50 and some of my 100. Ladies, how many do you think you can do? they sound simple enough.

Dori, I had asked Carolyn to make some. She agreed but wasn't too sure about the difficuty. So since she is getting new fabric, let's keep her with pillowcases.

Nice work on the stocking.

I think I can do 25 or so. Is that enough?
(I'm still behind on making stockings for the family, it just keeps growing and the stockings I make take about 100 hours each. Another grandbaby on the way, due in April! I'm going to be a grandmother of 6 with more planned!)
