thanks Proud! I didn't want to bore you all. haha. I just get so excited when I see people responded postively.
this project is dear to me. I recruited a lady at the fabric store the other day. Someone always comments on the r,w,b fabric I am buying so that is my opening.

"chat" away! Love hearing it as we all know how dear this project is to you and everyone else that helps. I also love to hear that all over the country our military are being remembered and thought of - as they should!

and the funny thing is , I didn't take any that I made. They are buied in the NY box and I didn't want to get them out. I took a quilted one, one by the 9 year old girl, one by Sue in Nebraska, one from the new lady at Curves, and 2 from the local quilting store. I had fun doing that.

Ally - thanks girlfriend for that absolutely fabulous idea!!!!! I have 2 more craft fairs to promote HAE. Love it.

One lady asked me if $1.00 really did anything! Wrong question to ask me-haha. When I did fundraising for my son's school, my attitude is do smaller and make it up in volume.

so I said, it takes $12.00 to mail a box and I can get 36 in a box. So yes, if 12 people donate $1.00, 36 of our deployed military will get blessed. AND, I have found fabric for $1.00 per yard. That makes a whole pillowcase, plus part of another.
You could see that she was ready to escape. I wasn't angry, just factual. Most people are happy to give $1.00 and I love $1.00 bills!

Hey! I put 6 pillowcases for the NY up for adoption today at my craft fair. I asked for $1.00 to stick with my HAE theme. Got $29.00! I am so happy. And the responses were so positive. Several peeps saw our tv interview. We recorded, but we could not put our hands on it today. haha.
Oh well, I can talk a "blue streak" about this project. And my hubby did a great job. Actually he did more of it than me.
