Kristi, hope you have the opportunity to introduce your new daughter to her daddy via Skype or AIM/video, and also to let your son "talk" to dad. My sailor was in Kuwait for about 7 months, this time last year, and the times we could visit on Skype or IM were wonderful. Congratulations and Best Wishes.....and hang in there!

Hi Kristi,
My son is IA in Afg-ani-stan. Been there for several months. I found one of the things the guys love is US candy. In Af-gan.. they dearly love the Red Fish. What's the fav in Kuwait? Someone told me that one of the internet service provided video conferencing. Anyone know which one it is? Huge congrats on your new baby! How exciting for your family! Your Hubby must be overjoyed, now he has a child for each arm, smile.
Sincerely,
Karen in western PA

Just checking in, want y'all to know that thoughts and prayers are with your sailors and you, too! (Been there, done that, but the Navy could always ask us to do it again!)

Hi,
Got a phone call from son today in Poppyland. He was doing protection for the election center. Everything was quiet. He's doing well. Has been out in the field so didn't get is boox yet.

Jar cakes are cakes that you make in mason jars in the oven. When they come out hot from the oven, you put the mason jar lid on it right away and it creates the vacuum seal. There are a number of flavors.

I recently saw them at the Gary Sinise concert (Lt. Dan Band) for Operation Support Our Troups of IL. www.osotil.org. The lady that makes them is called, http://www.loveinajar.com/. She sells them, but I wanted to make them. I have some recipes .... somewhere!
