HI! I am Kathy. My son Rob is headed into his 4th week of bootcamp. He's a grad and go. Going to A school in the Great Lakes to be a Medic. Have any of you ladies been through this???

Hello Everyone:

Christon is in Meridiam Ms. He hopes to complete A School in eight weeks then he is coming home for two weeks!! Yes, he is Houston Texas bound. I hope that everyone reached their homes safely after PIR.

Hi everyone, i'm a new N4M; daughter just PIR 8/15; she's now in Pensacola Fl, her training is for Air Traffic Control; which won't start until 9/8, i hope to see her soon, i'm only 3hrs away.

Hi everyone, my daughter Megan just finished her A-school at GL and she will be going to Norfolk,VA....
she is going in as a boatswain's mate, hope to be able to go down as soon as she gets settled in......

hey ladies info for after PIR:
if you want to send packages to your guys and gals....I got a number that was posted on my NJ moms post and my hubby saw on navyfordads. Hubby called. 1-800-610-8734 and select option #1, then #1 again, then #2 again and ask for the "military pack". You will receive six boxes, tape, package materials and will be mailed to you within approx. one week. You will also receive a customer ID # for reordering. It is free. Order while it is available!

i guess i would have to say. yes i am an inquisitive navy mom. how the heck am i going to find out if and when my son is going to pass boot camp this is week 6 august 4th starts 7. i already bought my airline ticket and made reservations navy lodge at great lakes?

On YouTube there is a video of sailors during BECC. It is also on dianeShawn's mom website. It is actual footage of snipes in A school at GL. My sailor is in in for just a second but when I had talked to him he told me all about those exercises.

Please let others know to see the photos and stories on the Navy news . mil web site . The photos help see 1st hand what our children are into . The Navy and other branches have changes to much. YOU could even see your sons ship , school or bases. Great Lakes is there also on search they also have there own web site. Good Luck to you all and a BIG HOORA to you sons and daughters. i sure i'm an inquisitive mom, me and my son are very close,
and knowing that he's so far away, is so stressful at time's,
but he's in God's hand's, my prayer's are for all our military families and our sailor's, that they all may return home asap.
