Here's the photo on the official navy news site.

Hey Ladies,
It's been awhile. Been crazy busy with my sister and helping her take care of my brother-in-law since his brain injury. Also trying to organize a benefit for them to help with the expenses since the accident. So how was Navy Ball Ruth? Wow! A purple heart that is awesome and I am glad to here he was relatively O.K. after the incident with IED. I am sure you are very proud.
Not sure if I passed along to this group that my daughter is engaged now! Has a honkin rock on her finger. 3 stone diamond ring with several smaller stones two carat total weight. No date yet.

And... I FINALLY got Kyle to send me some photos! He happened to be work on the ship and one of the ship's photographers took pictures of them loading a missile and the photo was released on the front page of the official website for his ship the USS Essex. Check out my sailor hard at work! Now we have PROOF he IS actually doing something over there in Japan!LOL

Ruth, I am hoping that her kids can send him homemade Christmas cards! I sure will check with her about her email address... sounds like you have a really busy life, and you didn't even mention the PGR's! How is Andy doing? I haven't heard from Ethan and Nicole for a few days, hoping to catch up with him this weekend!

Michelle, send me that teacher's email address so my sailor can get a thank you out. Busy, busy, busy. Running granddaughters to girl scouts and dance, getting ready to visit my brother in Houston and mother-in-law in Tucson. Looking forward to warmer weather though we sure can't complain too much, can we?.....yet!

Good Afternoon Sorry I haven't been on in quite awhile. Been busy with work life. My son Craig is doing great hard to believe he has been on active duty over a year now. He was promoted to E-3 last month and really enjoys being a yeoman. I will try to be on more often. Take care and everyone have a safe halloween.

Ruth, the teacher isn't expecting anything great... just a response would be fine! I am hoping that they'll be able to do something for Christmas... will he be able to come home for any part of the holidays?

Ruth,
So sorry to hear that the food ran out and that Andy's "friend" didn't prove to be much of a friend... it's always tough when that happens to a person who has made plans when something goes wrong that way.
As to the toast to the president, well... it's wonderful that we live in a country where we can do something like that and not fear violent sanctions being used against us by our Government... one of the freedoms our military fights for! I don't belong to any political groups on N4M's, so I don't know what the current feeling is about our sitting President, but I know he has a lot going on with the economy and two wars and health care... I wouldn't want the job, that's for sure!

I just wrote a huge piece about the Navy Ball and it disappeared! I'm going to rewrite and put on my blog.

He did receive a card--he's sometimes not good about responding, but he could just show up at your school! I'll tell him he has to do something. He's appreciative, just too busy sometimes.

Ruth,
How is Andy doing? Did he ever get any cards from Tama? The teacher I talked to said she would for sure try to get at least one signed by the whole class and sent to him...
