There is! Look for IA/IL Quad Cities Navy/Military Moms/Families and Friends on FB. Even though it’s titled Quad Cities, we cover all of Iowa and western Illinois. Request to join, answer a couple questions and I’ll approve you!

Is this group still active? And is there still a FB page for Iowa Moms?

Comment by Ruth, Gun's Mom on June 24, 2017 at 2:49pm

If there are any moms somewhat close to the Quad-Cities, we have a Facebook page that includes Illinois and Iowa moms.  We're doing a packing party for the USS Fitzgerald on Thursday at 9:00 in Davenport.

The Iowa facebook page has been changed to secret for security reasons, so contact me if you'd like to join.

Navywife+3, there's a facebook group of Iowa Navy families--moms, wives, dads, even recruiters and sailors; no husbands that I know of...yet.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/177777552327118/

Leana, an active group to check out is Iowa Navy Moms/wives on FB if you have it.  Just ask to join. I have seen posts from moms that have a sailor there.  Everyone is from all over the state.

Hello everyone, just checking in, nothing happening in my life except more medical issues which is nothing new.  I was wondering what effect this govenment shut down has on our sailors and seabees, if any.  I don't understand it much but it has already affected our life because we are farmers and we were to get a govenment payment  and now it's on hold.  It's bad when you have to wait for people to quit trying to be right instead of working together.  Have a good night.
