This group is for N4M members that have a loved one leaving for bootcamp in March...I will leave the year open so that even future Deppers leaving in the month of March of any year can join...Lets share stories, information, concerns, and questions

We are an extension of the group DEPPERS....in but not yet- see the link above.
If you haven't been there, go there now....There is a ton of information that you will need and are probably dying for....like Boot Camp videos! :)
So if you have general information that will be helpful for all new Moms, leave it in the DEPPER group, but if you have March ship out, or other, issues, need specific information, (or have some to share) or just want to talk to someone that is where you are, with a Recruit leaving for and arriving in BC in March, ...then this is the place to be. :-)
Remember, don't "miss 'em while you're with them!" :) Make the most of every precious moment together before they leave. This will be a big transition for both of you! We'll be here for you every step of the way...

About a week after they arrive at BC, you will receive a form letter, with their Ship# and DIV # (address) on it. Check it against the ones here: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp Then, watch for your PIR (Pass in Review-i,e, Graduation) date to be posted here: http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/upcoming_grads.asp
That IS the official date for your Recruit's Training Group to PIR, HOWEVER things can always change for an individual Recruit (due to illness, injury, failure to pass a final test etc.)! So, we always recommend that you plan, if possible, to purchase Refundable or Exchangeable plane tickets. Tallblueks, the Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 928 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard.

got the form letter! Ship 2 Div 928. Isn't a 900 division of the ceremonial ones with music and drill teams? I'm just glad to have the info so I can mail my letters now. Anyone else in the same ship/div?

Got the Box yesterday! Wonderful to smell his scent. Now to wait for the letter. Hopefully this week. From my calculations 5/24 will be his PIR date. A new group to join. So very thankful for this site. The information has been invaluable and the support from everyone unmeasurable. Thank you!

PIR 05/24/2013 TG 28 has been created. If your SR arrived at the RTC last week, that is most likely the PIR group for you.

Tallblueks,my son's box came Fed ex. I did find out today from his recruiter he is Ship 14........That's all I know.........Just very anxious and cannot wait for more details..........

maryanne & my3rdchild - how did the box arrive? Post Office? FedEx? I haven't received anything and my son left on 3/26. Curious.

my3rdchild, what is his division number and PIR date? If he is in the 05/17/2013 TG, join PIR 05/17/2013 TG 27 (clickable link). If he is in the 05/24/2013 TG, let us know so the group for that can be created.
