Hi moms...how is everybody doing????
Finally, my son came to visit us for 2 full days, my brother and his family from Spain were her too, so we had such a great time together!!!! Now in 2 days, we will go to Florida to visit him.....I'm sooo excited to go!!!

Hello moms!!!!! I hope everybody is enjoying the nice summer weather!!! In a month my son will come to visit us, he is stationed in Mayport, Fl and we a live in Rochester, NY. Can't wait to see him!!!!!!!!!

I just got flowers from my son for Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! It was so funny, I was trimming the bushes in my front yard with my husband, when a car stopped in my driveway and my husband says: I dont think so......I think you have the wrong house! The man says: Mabel? These are for you...... when I saw my son's phone number in the front of the envelope.......I just melted! I called my son right away, but his phone was off......Anyways, he just made my day!!!!!! A Mother's Day to remember.........

Rhoda: Yes, if he is a Resident Allien he will have no problems. When my son told us about joining the Navy, we were not too happy but later he convince us. 4 years had passed and he re enlisted for another 4 years, and with today economy, its the best thing he could do. I think the Navy is the safest military branch. Good luck!

Hi Mabel,
Thanks for the welcome! My hubby is a Resident Alien. I was told by my son's recruiter that Permanent Resident Aliens can join the Military. The Military assists with Citizenship. I believe they're eligible after a year of active duty? Since he's married to me, a U.S. Citizen, he will be able to take the test for Citizenship next year anyway.
Jose wants to talk to the Army, Army Reserve, Marines, etc. How do I convince him that the Navy is Best???

Rhoda welcome to our group! I asked my son about your husband, and he said to talk to a recruiter, that's the best you can do. Is he a citizen? He has to be to join the Navy. We are from Argentina, but came here 15 years ago, so my son does not have the language problem. Give it a try!
