Navy For Moms

Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

Here is what we want to do. If you see a thread of someone that needs some cards or letters, direct us to them!! We will get in contact with them and find out how they want the cards and letters sent.
There are three possibilities:
(1) They don't mind having their name and addresses posted in this discussion,
(2) They get me the name and address and I'll PM everyone interested after hearing their story or
(3) They give me the name and address and everyone will have to mail their cards to me and I'll forward them on to the "hurting".
In that case, here is my name and address: (sure, come see me anytime!!)
Brenda Bourque
2319 Avenue F
Nederland, TX 77627

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them.
Here they are so far. If you want to know more, go find the stories - but I warn you - get a couple boxes of Kleenex first!!!

Just dropped cards in the mail for each of the above... thanks to each and every mom that reaches out! While this page is filled with heartbreaking stories, I am warmed to my very core knowing how much love and prayer is being sent their way!

Hello everyone. There is a young man that passed away that lived close to where I live. I have been able to find out the family address and phone number from America Supports You Texas. I have called but haven't gotten an answer yet. If I can't get an answer tomorrow, I will be willing to put my name and address here so that you can send cards c/o me and I will make sure they get them. Here is a link to a little of the information.

Wow, I may have to take a break every once in awhile as this gets a little emotional.

NORFOLK -- A sailor initially based on the Norfolk-based USS Iwo Jima died in Afghanistan.

Sorry, didn't realize that the links wouldn't work for everyone!

Not a problem - just let us know about an address. We don't want too much time to pass before they start getting cards. If you don't think you can get one easily, let's just either have them mailed to you or me and one of us can forward them when we do get the address.

Hello everyone. I have not been able to contact the family of AOA Darren Tate--I am not going to keep trying to call because I don't know exactly what they are going through. I know that the body may be here in a few days and the funeral may be on teh 21st.

So, please send cards to me and I will make sure they receive each one!
