Hi and Hello to the most wonderful NAVY Moms/Dads/Loved Ones on this planet!!
I’ve kept a secret for a very long time, and it’s time to let the cat out of the bag.
Molly contacted me February 18th. Yes, this is my personal best on secret keeping. She wanted to know what I thought about being the Mom of the month….for July, but why are you contacting me now?
Instead of adopting for just one month, we are adopting our group to begin delivery so they can have the best 4th of July on record in the sandbox!!! We want them to have all the fixin’s by July 4th.
EVERYONE, WE ARE SENDING THEM THE BIGGEST AND BEST 4TH OF JULY ON RECORD.
YES, I’M YELLING.
WE ARE THROWING A PARTY IN AFGHANISTAN FOR A HUGE GROUP OF 129 SEABEE’S!!
WITH MUCH LOVE FROM ALL THEIR NAVY MOMS, NAVY DADS AND NAVY LOVED ONES.
Holy Goodness Gracious!!! Whew. This is big.
What does this all mean exactly?
We want to send them a piece of home from every state!!! Every state in the union!!! 50.
5-0 and I know we "can do" this. --Get it...SeaBee motto: Can do. I crack myself up.
That means, POSTCARDS from your state.
Send a postcard of your beautiful state to let them know how much they are appreciated and loved by all their Navy Moms! Navy Dads & Loved Ones too!! Get everyone involved, we will tally the postcards, and locations of each.
Our goal is a postcard from every single state!
Those of you that are having get-togethers, and packing parties, send your state. Whatever that means to you. State Birds not allowed. Do not send livestock. Yikes!
BUT WE ALWAYS WANT TO INCLUDE SOME RED, WHITE AND BLUE!
Wait, do you hear the screeching brakes in your head. Good, because we can’t have one single firework, sparkler, or even a popper. I’m sure you will visit me in jail if we even try something like that. That would be way bad.
The above has been a public service announcement along with Staci’s conscience; she really doesn’t want to have anything to do with jail.

We want them to start recognizing our big group, and we can do this by "Brand Image" --I think that's what they call it in the marketing world. I don't really know since I'm in the computer world, but I think you know what I mean.
AND we are ultimately shooting for the stars on our adoptions!
CONTACT INFORMATION: SW1 JACKSON W. SHEFLIN
He made his first post on April 14th, 2009 and his name has only been requested a total of 5 times, now 6 with us. I love him, because all he asked for was basic safety items. Here is what he said below.
“We are hoping to get safety stuff for construction projects such as tinted safety glasses and disposable earplugs. Also would like insoles for our boots. If there is any way you could help with that it would be great. Thank you very much. –Jackson Sheflin”

I was just at the Dollar Tree store yesterday... They have all kinds of Red White and Blue stuff... I bought a bunch to send out to some of my sons friends! Guess I will be headed back now! FUN!!!

YIPEEEEEE!!!! I cant wait and I just happen to have a whole case of Cracker Jacks in the back. Now I cant send some Tennessee Moonshine but I will try to think of something else. Yeah and I am on vacation next week so I can shop, shop, shop!!!! This will be really fun cant wait to get going on this. Best Birthday present I have gotten in a long time.

Awesome choice girl! I'm a little partial to my Seabee's you know :) I can totally cover the safety glasses and ear plugs thing, I work for a utility and can get them and our local union to donate! OOHRAH!

Ok Im going to go and get some Oregon postcards now. I have my SIL in North Carloina Im going to see if she will send a few also. Ok who else do I know in states ?

I know, and you cant send it in plastic cuz it will melt the plastic and glass would probably break. Guess I will look for other hillbilly stuff to send. This is going to be soooooo much fun. The other girl I work with and I are brainstorming to come up with some really fun stuff. I will also talk to my Dad and see if he will send a postcard from Illinois. I cant wait till I get to leave today, start my vacation and get my shop on. I am partial to July since that is when my Son and his Girlfriends B-days are. I wonder if I could put Tennessee Cough Syrup on the forms????

Marlo, I am in southern middle TN and was just thinkin'. Wrap pint jar in bubble wrap, double bag in ziplock and wrap in bathtowel? The syrup should travel well that way. How bout it?
