Hi Jess....
My son PIR was April
All summer was "A" school
It is tough
Lots of study
computer learning
and tests
My son hated the computer learning part....
No in structor...
the computer is your teacher and you teach yourself
basically....

Then was the hands on stuff.....
My son liked that..,...

"A" school is intense
Harder than High school and shoved in less than 3 months

One thing I learned
everything changes
So I am getting used to that
good luck

Congrats "Grandma Sue"
My son's orders went from Guam,to Japan to finally
San Diego
So I've learned everything is 'fluid' in the Navy
:)

Hi, My son Trevor PIR July31, is in GL and just finished BECC and he thought he would be on hold for his next strand but now he said he is starting on Mon.. He said he has about 4 more weeks at GL. Then I don't know where he will be stationed. He wants San Diego or WA. For sure Cali. He has his Dad and other Family there, and we are originally from Southern Ca. He also started out at BC as Damage control, then told him that was full so he went to Hull Tech.. I guess no one really know for sure what lies ahead, things change all the time.. Him and his Wife also have a new baby, a girl and she is 7 weeks old..He was also able to get a week off for the birth, which we are all thankful for. Well hope everything works out for everybody.....Sue

Hello Ladies,
Jeff got his verbal orders yesterday. He will be stationed in Bremerton, WA. Not San Diego as hoped but at least he is west coast. Now we will wait for him to get everything finished up at GL and see when he will get his hard copies and come home. LOL! Its hurry up and wait.
Thanks Mary for your words.
Have a great week.
Take Care, Karol

Hello Moms and Family:
Well I think this is the last week of one part of Bill's training and then 22 more days of another class. I hope to hear where he will be stationed this week. I'm praying it will be Norfolk so he will be closer to home. Also Jess I can't really help you my son had to leave for a few days and lost time so he's not the norm, he graduated on Aug 7th and he's still in A school. I'm hoping he'll get home around the end of Dec. But nothing for sure.

Hi Ladies,
I am a little disappointed today. I was hoping my son would get his orders today, but no, we are still playing the waiting game. He only has about a week left at GL and we are hoping for San Diego. I think if they go east I will have a hard time. I will miss him, my daughter in law and my two Grandbabies to much. I have been trying to prepare myself for this, but now the time is almost here I find I am not prepared at all.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will be hoping and praying for orders to San diego next week.
Take Care, Karol

Teenie, my son graduated Sept 28th. I am in Norfolk with him now, will be leaving for home in the morning, was great seeing where he is stationed and his ship was in port.

Marcy, my son wanted San Diego and got Norfolk, go figure! But he really likes it here in Norfolk so far, San Diego is a great town, I have a cousin that lives there!
