Hi everyone! I know I haven't been on in awhile, but I went back a couple of pages and am trying to catch up. I have been busy with Wedding stuff. My sister & her fiance have now set a date (Oct. 2010) so I am sure I will be helping her out also. My cat had surgery this week and a day later tore out her stitches despite us keeping an eye on her. A new reservist Wes met earlier this month works at Petsmart and took out cat, Misty in to get a cyst looked at and got us a wonderful discount on the surgery. She is very sweet.

Wes has to do a report on Dec. 7th (on Dec. 7th). He has applied at a couple places for jobs and should be getting ready to pick classes and take his assessments for college.
Well, got to run. My daughter is now feeling human again (recovering from the flu) so we are going to go use our coupons @ Michaels.

Mary, I will definitely keep Rebecca and her son in my prayers.

Hugs & God Bless,
Valerie

Everyone is home now for Thanksgiving. We are doing part of Christmas and birthdays gift giving while their all here so we don't have to ship. Chris is not able to come home for Christmas and wanted to do it this way. We have lots of birthdays in our family during the month of December. Plus the traditional family- Mom's kidnapping for the day on her birthday to her favorite place visiting Mickey Mouse. So we have had to move everything up to this coming week. Then we have a family friend who passed away so add in a funeral too. My husband said this morning you know I missed this craziness when we are all not together. And I am thinking this is why we have kids when we are young, because I am already feeling tired out just thinking about it all..

Brenda,
We did not go to A school graduation...as sailor said it wasn't as "formal"...however, we went to C and it was AWSOME!! The only thing we had to do is meet sailor outside the gate and have a current driver's license. (They also told us to have a birth certificate for little brother, but they never did look at that)...Anyway, once you are "checked out" you are issued a car pass and escourted through the gates with sailor. Once on base, there are certain places you are not permitted to enter....but most of it is OK. Your sailor will know what's allowed and whats not. We had it nice because we actually stayed at the Navy Lodge, which is on base...so everything was right there!
ENJOY!! It's an AWSOME experience!

Brenda,
I do know that he will have to get you on base and in the school auditorium. We attended C school graduation and met our son at an IHOP right outside the gate to DN. You also have to have picture ID's.

Does anyone know if there is anything we need to do to go to A school graduation. My son grad. Wed. and we are going out for Thanksgiving. Thought we should go one day earlier and go to his graduation. I keep asking him if there is something we need to do and he keeps saying he will check on it. You all know how that is.

Wow Chris, what an admirable thing to do and what a choice to make. How long until you graduate? I wish you lots of luck. I have a friend who has 2 sons & two daughters. Her oldest daughter and youngest son are both deaf and very intelligent. They are adults now and I haven't seen them in a long time.

Anna, I'm so glad that you were able to spend a few wonderful days with your daughter. It never seems like enough time. I hope that you're able to come back for another visit. I'm glad that you had a safe fun trip.

I get to go watch my sailors little girl tonight while his wife my son and a few others go to the midnight showing of Twilight. Of course, it will be too close to bedtime for more than a bedtime story, but that's ok.

I'll keep Rebekka's brother in my prayers too. I'm sorry but my see key just quit working. There's always something. lol Life is full of trials and we have to take the good with the bad. God Bless all of you for karing. great big HUGS to all of you!

Mary,
I'm keeping Rebecca's brother in my prayers. Do you get a winter break or holiday break from school? I'd love to come over your way to visit.

Rene,
I'm glad I won't be in NE Ohio for this winter - no shoveling for me!!! I guess I shouldn't speak so quickly tho' - I will be visiting with Jennifer in Stow for a few weeks over Christmas - I'll probably get caught in a blizzard!!!!!!

I'm back home from my trip to WA to spend with my sailor girl. It was such a wonderful trip, even tho' it would rain here and there everyday we still got to do some fun stuff. Took the ferry into Seattle and it was so cool to see the tops of all the buildings in the clouds!!! Best part was getting to spend everyday with my girl. I hated saying goodby at the airport but I know she is happy where she is and has a good life going for her. I'm so proud of her - but I miss her!!!!

LOL....loving all the posts talking about SNOW!! Fortunately that won't be happening in THIS part of Texas anytime soon (IF EVER). If we EVER get any it's usually not more than flurries or a dusting that melts quickly!! It DID get COLD earlier in the week...we started out at 31 yesterday...34 the day before. Today it's back to "normal"...it was 60 by 9:30 am!!
Got a question...would anyone be willing to help out my granddaughter? She has a project for school called "Flat Stanley". "Flat Stanley" is a boy who got flattened when a bulletin board fell on him and now he mails himself to his friends all over the world. She has from now to mid- April to make a journal of "Flat Stanley's" adventures traveling around the world. We have relatives around the country who are willing to help but I'm hoping maybe to find a couple of folks overseas that would be willing to allow "Flat Stanley" to come stay for a week and who would show him the sights and jot it down in his journal and maybe snap a couple of photos or send a postcard from his journey!! BTW... Flat Stanley is a paperdoll!! If anyone would be willing to help us please let me know!! Thanks in advance!!
LOL...my son is going to take him but says he cannot take him to class!! :)
